There are precious few clips of Heron performing anywhere. The quality of these particular clips leaves much to be desired – but they’re worth watching for old times’ sake.
‘Big’ Tom Robinson featured as a replacement for GT at this time.
‘Sally Goodin’

The “First Finale” gig was set up to showcase Heron’s possible demise. It was a tongue in cheek title knowing that most bands do one final tour, only to do more later.
It was seen as an opportunity to involve a number of other musicians featuring, in particular, Nick Wyke on violin, mandolin and electric guitar. Gerry Power had become a permanent member of the band since 1997.
There will be an album of all the songs recorded live at the gig at some point in the future..
There are 23 songs altogether – one of which (“Car Crash”) is featured in this clip.
